    Hi!
I decided to make a "Xonar DG Audio Center" Windows 10 skin.
Everything is still work in progress, but I think most problems can be solved.
This is what it currently looks like:

    Hope you like it!

Tested only on Xonar D1, backup your "Skin" folder before unpacking archive!

Is anyone by chance in the Windows Insider Program here? Sampled the first beta relase of Redstone, and noticed that the dolby enhancements no longer worked. Installs fine, the profiler opens just fine, but its just inactive as if its turned off. Obviously since I'm talking a pre-release OS here I know this isn't going to get immediate attention or anything nor should it, but just thought I'd offer a heads up for the future should this bug remain in later builds. I rolled back myself, my sound is just way too hollow without the enhancements.

Jay which sounds card do you use? I'm a Windows Insider and have a Xonar U3 and definitely don't want to lose Dolby Headphone.

If that's the case I will have to remove my machines from the program as I doubt the drivers will be updated for months.

      Cheers for the headsup.

I'm on a Xonar DS, and this is with the latest Uni Xonar 1.80r3.

And you're welcome for the heads up! I'll probably keep checking out the builds as they come, so if anything changes with newer builds I'll report it here.

FYI As of Windows Insider Redstone Build 14316, Dolby enhancements are now working again. Not sure if that means they won't go out again in future builds, but for now they're a go.

Thanks Jay, I might give 14316 a try!

Jay: By "Dolby enhancements" you mean "Dolby Home Theater v4 addon"? I have Win 10 x64 build 14316 installed and DHT4 still doesn't work 🙁

Hmm, yeah its the DHT v4, it should be working. I noticed you were having problems with this on the TH2 build. I'm wondering if it could be an issue related to Win 10 and your D2X? Because I'm on a DS, so I can't exactly try to replicate the issue. Maybe someone with the same card can weigh in here.

Hi, I’m not sure if anyone has the same problem, but Dolby Home Theater add-on doesn’t work with my Xonar D2X (on Windows 10 Pro x64, build 10586) anymore. It worked wit the retail version of the Windows (with any UNI drivers installed), but after updating the system to 10586 the Dolby Application says that it can’t find the audio drivers and won’t work… I tried many times reinstalling different versions of the UNI Drivers, cleaning any Dolby related keys in Windows Registry, etc. Nothing works. The drivers work just great, but I can’t get Dolby Home Theater to work in any way 🙁
Is that problem common? I can’t live without DHT 🙁 Please, help.

Hi, I wanted to add that in my system the Dolby 7.1 Virtual Speaker doesn't work on my Xonar DX after Uni-Xonar driver 1823 v1.80a r3 in Low DPC Latency mode on Windows 10 Home version 10.0.10586. I have tried also with XonarSwitch to no avail. All other functionality is ok. Thanks anyway for your great work with the drivers.

As this is a issue with a component of the (UNi) Xonar drivers and not an additional component (like Dolby Home Theater) it would be more suited to repost this issue in the main UNi xonar page.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried reinstalling with the option "Re-enable stereo upmix to 4,5.1 and 7.1" in Low DPC Latency mode and Dolby 7.1 Virtual Speaker works again. XonarSwitch also ok.

I'd like to take advantage to ask for some useful functionality the driver could have if possible. It would be autodetection and autoadjustement of channel number and sample rate. I find it unconvenient to have to switch from 2ch to 6ch or 44.1 KHz to 48 KHz depending on the source. If ASIO autodetects sample rate why wouldn't the standard driver?

    Hi everyone,

So I'm still beating myself up on how to get DHT4 installed. I'm running the latest 1.80b driver for the STX II 7.1, and yes, I have a 7.1 setup.
Running on Windows 10 x64, fully updated.
Can someone help me out? I'm really lost on this since there's no guide to follow nor errors that make any sense (such as "PCEE needs to be installed")....

    Thanks in advance guys,
    Snir

P.S. I tried installing X-Fi MB3 (bought directly from Creative), got super-crackly sound no matter what I tried (playing with the sample rates and channel settings).

Is there any way to disable a feature from the latest version of DHT4 ? I sometimes hate the volume boost that it has, so i thought there would be a config file somewhere, but i don't know where it is since we lost the ability to configure from within the app with the latest version.
    Thanks in advance.

I've "updated" the DHT v4 addon in order to be used with UniXonar 1.75/1.80 and the dynamic modification of inf files (tested with both on W10 v1511). The version of DHT v4 is still the same : 7.2.8000.17

Here is the link : http://downloads.cracrayol.org/divers/DHT%20v4%20(7.2.8000.17)%20Addon.exe

You have to install it with "Disable signature checks" enabled else it will failed.

Is there any way to install DHT v4 (7.2.8000.17) Addon on Win 10 without disabling the driver signature feature? And how could i know its “safe” to install? Cant the Addon be pinned with hash to download from a really trustable source?

I am not aware of any other way to install. Note that you disable the driver signature only temporarily, after a system restart the driver signature will be enforced again.
Scan the DHT v4 addon files with an antivirus. As far as I know the DHT addon does not include any modified .dll or .exe file, all the files are exactly the same as they are in the Realtek drivers that do include DHT and Andreea Mod.

Hi. This section is for Xonar enhancements and addons. For general help use the main UNi Xonar page. Rewrite your message there with exact driver version you've used and the Windows version you have.

    Hello,

I am using DHT4 with a Xonar STX. I mainly want to use the DHT4 Surround Virtualizer with Headphones. Right now i must use the 4 years old hint how to make that work. Without this registry hack, Surround Sound on Headphones will not work. However this supposed to be temporary solution since it messes up the sound settings so that after a reboot you have to reconfigure your audio device (it will be reset to default values).
Is this still an issue? Is there any attempt to fix this?

    Thank you

      Hello,

i am really curious if someone else has this problem, that Headphone Surround Simulation does not work by default.
Based on the registry hack i linked above i made myself a simple tool to switch the registry Settings accordingly and above all: It automatically resets the settings on Shutdown, so that after reboot the Xonar is working properly. However, my solution will probably only fit my needs and is not for a general audience. I have some ideas to improve the tool but before i put some effort in it, i have some questions, and it would be really nice if YOU thinks this applies to you 🙂 :
      - Is there anybody with the same problem ( i mentioned above) as me and would be interested in such a (workarround) tool?
      - Are here people with some advanced knowledge of the Dolby DHT and Uni Xonar Registry Settings or API kownledge, that i could ask some terribly stupid questions if i need them. Mainly because i am far too lazy to research all the stuff myself... 😉

      Thank you and good night.

I've tried to tweak the inf file in order to change this during install but it seems that this field is managed directly by the driver itself, not the inf file.
So, unless someone very skilled can disassamble the driver, change it and recompile it, I think that the way Toc does it will be the only way.

        Hello,

i created a small project on gitlab for the tool:
        https://gitlab.com/cholz/dht-headphone-fixer

        A binary is linked there.
Feel free to comment on the messy code, but i don't have time to refine it right now.
It is NOT very user friendly. There are no saved settings or a windows installer or anything fancy.
