Xonar Audio Center has been replaced with Oxygen HD Audio Configuration in startup and windows control panel although the former exists in programs list & the later does not.Is the Oxygen CP a part of the DHT4 ? Using Essence ST, Win7x64 & 1807 v1.62B1 driver.DHT4 works great with all non-wasapi players so cheers for that ! 🙂 Demo asks for a compatible device but it's pointless since that 25 MB demo file from the installed folder can be directly played in VLC with DHT4 activated.
hello i have xonar dx on w8 x64 uni xonar drivers installed but your mod wouldn't install - it says "Unknown Error" what to do? thank you for dedicating time to make this mod sorry for bad english
Alexa, your driver for xonar d2x working fine for me. only thing is that in advance tab when i select dolby degital ,it says format is not supported. But thanks any way you are geneous!
I only use the mod for the microphone enhancements myself, they can be somewhat useful depending on what you have plugged in to the mic port. I've tried out all the features of the Dolby Home Theater on my Essence ST and I can safely say my music doesn't sound any better with it. The "automatic" equalizers are sort of interesting to play with but really it's just like changing the equalizers in the ASUS CP (and it's probably better to do it via driver rather than 3rd party mixer end). The speaker surround virtualizer obviously isn't going to do well with a headphone, and the headphone virtualizer doesn't work atm (and may possibly sound the same as Dolby Headphone, but with built in Dolby ProLogic upmixing and a slider to go between the usual Reference/Living/Large rooms?). When enabling Dolby Home Theater, my DPC isn't really affected much, but the low end frequencies seem to...disappear?
In the end, I just took the driver from daniel_k and diff'd Alexa's driver to copy the microphone enhancements into daniel_k's "ASUS release" driver. DHT is just not what I want as a high-end headphone user.
It is your usual Xonar driver modified to load additional DLLs that gives you additional microphone features (see http://imageshack.us/a/img140/5518/micopts.png) and allows the driver to be recognized as compatible with Dolby Home Theater once DHT is installed. It should be able to install alongside both the original ASUS drivers and the Uni Xonar driver pack. It replaces the driver files and installs Dolby Home Theater. You can google the features of DHT.

any advantage of using this mod for a headphone user who uses the dolby headphone feature in regular uni xonar driver?

The bass disappearing seemed to be dependent on the song while the volume leveler was enabled. :p
Nydus Zerg06 Oct 2012 @ 03:19
with the "musik" preset the sound enhanced a big step for me 🙂 using an AKG gaming headset and also dolby HP 🙂
Nydus Zerg06 Oct 2012 @ 03:18
works perfectly fine for my DX! on what basis did you made the presets?
Shing07 Oct 2012 @ 19:48
