For anyone having a hard time installing alexa's mods. You could try the following: 1) Uninstall any Xonar drivers and addons. 2) Enable test mode and restart 3) Install alexa's addon 4) Optional: At this point you could disable test mode if you want to.Restart 5) Install Uni Xonar drivers.
Win7x64, Xonar STX. Installed latest Unidriver 1.63 (C-Media Panel with GX, STX Preset, all checkboxes default) with Addon 1 for DHT Surround Virtualizer for Headphones: The Headphone Virtualization didn't work at all. After follwoing http://maxedtech.com/xonar-enhancements-mods/comm... , enabling the virtualization works, but it is messing up speaker settings: In Oxygen Panel and Windows Playback Devices Settings the Channel Configuration are not selectable. Also seem the Slider for Surround Virtualization not to work. At least i didn't notice an difference (tested with music and BF3).
Anyway...thanx for the effort. DHT within BF3 on a Xonar STX rocks 🙂

Hi, i'm using Win 8 Pro x64 + Xonar DX and i can't find a way to make Addon 2 work. I have the test mode permanently enabled, and i tried a dozen time installing/uninstalling in different order the driver and the Addon. Anyone more having trouble?
As a suggestion i think it would be a great idea to have the Andrea Mic Tweak as a Standalone Addon.
Is there a way that I can install DHT add-on only but retaining the official Asus driver package for Xonar Xense?
The thing is, Xense has a preset option on the headphone for its bundled headset which when I used Uni Xonar and this DHT by Alexa, the sound of the headset (headphone out) is quite low (probably got to do with the optimized impedance setting for the official driver package).

Cowon JetAudio is a good choice. The licensed version has many sound improving effects. For me the only small downside of that player is the lack of good looking skins for it... I've been using it for a long time, but for about 3 months I'm with Aimp3 (www.aimp.ru). It's free, nice, has enough options and some built in effects.
When I start the Dolby Home Theater I get a error that the Dolby audio driver could not start and I should do a restart or reinstall the driver, but I already did both.
Hey guys, I can't get any enhancements to work 🙁 I tried everything suggested... Uninstall driver & addons...Enable testmode...Install driver 1.63 then install addon 1...Reboot! I also switched some steps (first install addon THEN driver)... BUT I always get the same error on reboot: Addon needs an older driver to work (something like that) !! So, what else can I do??

if you have the Xonar DX then you don't need any addons .The UNi Xonar drivers are enough.
Anyway, i wanna try the Crystal Clear Addon. Also i would like more information about using the x-fi mb 2 software with the Xonar DX.

foobar2000, bs.player pro, cowon jetaudio, j.river media center and many many other players. Maybe you could also try dfx audio enhancer.
Try with Breakaway Enhancer,and than hear and feel the difference.
